About Us
The Neuroscience Committee is focused on providing helping
professionals the latest research regarding neurological functioning and how to
implement this information into strategies and interventions when working with
addicted and offending clients.
The goals for this committee are: 1) To inform IAAOC members of the latest trends regarding the neural correlates related to addictive and offending behaviors. 2) To provide IAAOC members information regarding how to implement this research into their counseling practice and training programs. 3) To support IAAOC members with quality research integrating neuroscience and counseling regarding addicted and criminal justice populations. |
